You will learn how to use both Volumes I & II to code ICD-9 CM diagnoses correctly. Coding to the highest degree of specificity is required for accuracy and payment. The “V” and “E” codes - when to use them for less billing hassle. How to include narrative “Rule Outs” in medical record documentation to improve reimbursement. There are many ICD-9 additions, changes or deletions for cardiology in 2007.

Guidelines for HCPCS coding: We’ll show you when to use each level. Use all of the coding extras: modifiers, special procedures and reports, coding ICU visits and your special needs.

Terry Fletcher, BS, CPC, CCS comes to us as a 20-year veteran of coding and insurance successes. With a rich background in surgical, as well as medical specialties, Ms. Fletcher is up-to-date with “real life” insurance experiences from her billing company and consulting. She has been invited to increasing numbers of “guest speaker” presentations due to her word-of-mouth reputation. She holds a Qualifed Medical Examiner Instructor’s certification, as well as consults and trains in that specialty.

From Boston and Logan Airport: Follow airport directions to the Sumner Tunnel to I-93 South (Expressway). Take Route I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) West to Exit 11A (I-495 South). Take I- 495 South to Exit 19 (Milford/Medway Route 109) Take a right at the end of the ramp and a right at the first light. The hotel will be on the left about ¼ mile.

From New York and Points Westward: Connect To I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) East, to Exit 11A to I-495 South to exit 19. Take a right at the end of the ramp and a right at the first light. This is Beaver Street; the hotel will be ¼ mile on the left.

From Providence and Points South: Connect to I-95 North then to I-495 North. Take exit 19, at the bottom of the ramp take a left and at the first light take a right onto Beaver Street. The hotel will be on the left about ¼ mile.

From Maine and Points North: Take I-95 South to I-495 South. Follow I-495 to exit 19. At end of ramp take right and at the first light take a right onto Beaver Street. The hotel is ¼ mile on left.
